Kuningan Regency Strengthens Digital-Based MBG Monitoring
Kuningan (ANTARA) - The Kuningan Regency Government, West Java, is strengthening supervision of the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG) through a digital-based monitoring system to ensure the programme’s implementation is transparent. “This is our responsibility to ensure the programme runs transparently and on target,” said Kuningan Regional Secretary Uu Kusmana in Kuningan on Thursday. He explained that this step is being taken by exploring cooperation with Sumedang Regency in implementing the MBG Management Monitoring Application or MMAGIS, which has been applied earlier. This initiative, he said, positions Kuningan as the first region to conduct a study and adopt Sumedang’s MBG monitoring system. He stated that this step stems from his interest during a West Java-level MBG coordination meeting, followed by observing Sumedang’s readiness with an integrated digital supervision system. After obtaining approval from the Regent of Kuningan, his side immediately instructed the Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo) along with the local MBG Task Force Secretariat to establish technical cooperation. He said the MMAGIS application is designed comprehensively to monitor the programme’s implementation in the field through an integrated digital system. This system, he continued, enables the public and stakeholders to access data in real time, from the number of beneficiaries, distribution maps of kitchens, to daily and weekly menu schedules. “In Kuningan Regency, the application will be used to monitor around 158 Nutritional Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) spread across various areas,” he said. Uu added that data integration through this application is believed to enhance accountability in the MBG programme’s implementation while encouraging improvements in the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) value.
