Kuningan Job Fair 2026 Offers 5,000 Vacancies, Targets Unemployment Reduction
The Kuningan Regency Government has once again opened opportunities for the public to obtain employment through the Kuningan Job Fair 2026, held at the Ewangga Sports Hall. A total of 40 companies from Kuningan, Brebes, Cirebon, Majalengka, and the Greater Jakarta area participated, offering approximately 5,000 job vacancies.
Head of the Kuningan Manpower and Transmigration Office, Toto Toharudin, explained that the 2026 Job Fair not only presented thousands of job vacancies but also provided career consultation services, information on working abroad, and apprenticeship programmes. Furthermore, the office has prepared a competency-based training programme for 1,200 participants through 70 training packages supported by the Ministry of Manpower. Participants will receive certificates, daily meal allowances, uniforms, consumption, and capital assistance upon completing the training.
“This year, a scholarship programme is also available for 50 participants who will be prepared to work legally in Japan,” he said. Through this series of programmes, the Kuningan Regency Government hopes that more people will be absorbed into the workforce, the unemployment rate will continue to decline, and public welfare will increase.
Kuningan Regent Dian Rachmat Yanuar emphasised that the Job Fair represents the government’s presence in answering the needs of the community, particularly the younger generation seeking employment. “Today the state is present, the regional government is present among the community. We want to provide the widest possible space and opportunity for job seekers to meet directly with the business world,” Dian stated before thousands of job seekers attending the fair.
According to him, the various efforts made by the Kuningan Regency Government are beginning to show results. The open unemployment rate, which was previously one of the highest in West Java, is now steadily declining. “Alhamdulillah, we are on the right track. Job opportunities are starting to open up, and we continue to push various programmes to further reduce the unemployment rate,” he said. Dian is even targeting the Job Fair to be held more than once a year to ensure more people obtain job opportunities according to their competencies.
