REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – KUMITRA Jambore 2026, organised by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), recorded transaction and partnership commitments worth Rp6.88 billion. The achievement was obtained through a product curation process and partnership exploration to expand market access for MSME players in West Java.

Deputy MSME Minister Helvi Moraza said the KUMITRA programme is designed to strengthen business partnerships whilst integrating MSME players into the national supply chain.

“The achievement of Rp6.88 billion is not merely a number. It is proof that the products of micro-entrepreneurs in West Java have the quality, capacity and opportunity to break into wider markets,” said Helvi when opening KUMITRA Jambore 2026 and delivering a public lecture at Sangga Buana YPKP University, Bandung, on Wednesday (29/7/2026).

Helvi said entrepreneurship development is one of the government’s focus areas through the implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 38 of 2026 on National Entrepreneurship Development. These efforts are reinforced through the Productive Welfare Programme to support the target of 10 million people running businesses and being employed.

According to Helvi, the government is also integrating mentoring services, business legality, financing and market access through the SAPA UMKM platform so that services for business players become more targeted.

“The entire ecosystem of mentoring, business legality, financing and market access is now consolidated through the SAPA UMKM platform as an entry point for integrated, data-based services that are more precisely targeted,” he said.

Helvi said West Java has around 5.4 million MSMEs that serve as one of the main drivers of the regional economy. However, most remain at the micro scale and are not yet optimally connected to financing, technology, markets or supply chains.

“Our task is not only to increase the number of entrepreneurs, but to ensure that MSMEs and entrepreneurs can raise productivity, strengthen competitiveness, expand markets and create quality jobs,” he said.

The KUMITRA programme is designed to accelerate micro-enterprise development through collaboration with the business world, modern retail, the hospitality and tourism sectors, manufacturing industry, marketplaces, financing institutions and universities. The MSME Ministry considers such collaboration necessary to build an interconnected and sustainable business ecosystem.

KUMITRA Jambore 2026 was attended by more than 1,000 participants, comprising micro-entrepreneurs, MSME communities, business mentors and students from various universities in West Java. The government hopes the event can expand business partnerships, open new market access and encourage the emergence of innovative and competitive young entrepreneurs.
