The Kudus Regency Government continues to open investment cooperation opportunities to drive regional economic growth and improve competitiveness. This was conveyed by Kudus Regent Sam’ani Intakoris while attending the Central Java Investment Business Forum (CJIBF) 2026 with Deputy Regent Bellinda Birton at Birawa Assembly Hall, Hotel Bidakara, Jakarta, on Thursday (27/8/2026).

CJIBF 2026 carried the theme ‘Accelerating Investment Growth in Central Java through Sustainable Development and Regional Competitiveness’. The forum, which brought together regional governments, project owners, and potential investors, served as a business matching space as well as an effort by the Central Java Provincial Government to offer various investment opportunities. This year, 19 Investment Project Ready to Offer (IPRO) projects with a total value of approximately Rp14.9 trillion were offered to investors.

Kudus Regent Sam’ani Intakoris said that Kudus’s participation was part of efforts to expand networks with the business community and introduce the region’s potential to prospective investors. ‘We want investment in Kudus to continue to grow while still paying attention to the interests of the community. Incoming investment is expected to create jobs, drive the economy, improve regional competitiveness, and provide benefits to the community,’ said the Kudus Regent.

According to him, regional governments need to build a conducive investment climate through good services, ease of doing business, certainty, and collaboration with various parties. ‘We continue to open space for collaboration. Kudus’s potential must be developed with healthy and sustainable investment, so that it provides a positive impact for the region,’ he continued.

Meanwhile, Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi said that CJIBF is one of the efforts to directly connect regional governments with potential investors. According to him, investment plays an important role as an economic driver as well as opening up employment opportunities. The Central Java Provincial Government also continues to encourage investment that is aligned with sustainable development and improved regional competitiveness.

‘CJIBF is a momentum to bring together project owners with potential investors. We want investment in Central Java to continue to grow and provide benefits to the community, especially in opening up jobs and driving the economy,’ said Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi.

From the central government, Deputy for Investment Planning at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM Ichsan Zulkarnaen said that investment remains one of the drivers of the national economy amid global uncertainty. He noted that Indonesia’s economic fundamentals remain quite strong, with economic growth in the second quarter of 2026 reaching 5.29 percent.

In terms of investment, national realisation up to the first half of 2026 reached approximately Rp1,010 trillion, growing around 7.1–7.2 percent. This figure is part of efforts to achieve the national investment target of Rp1,200 trillion in 2026.

‘Amid global economic conditions that are full of uncertainty, our investment is still growing quite rapidly. This shows that investment is truly one of the drivers of the Indonesian economy,’ said Ichsan.

Ichsan also said that the government is preparing the General Investment Plan (RUPM), which will serve as a reference for provincial, regency, and city governments in formulating investment policy directions in their regions. The RUPM is projected to serve as a guideline until 2045 once the establishment process and follow-up regulations are completed.

Meanwhile, Head of the Central Java Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) Sakina Rosellasari explained that the projects offered at CJIBF have undergone a curation process and are prepared to connect project owners with potential investors. In addition to the 19 IPRO projects, investment opportunities are also directed at several strategic economic and industrial zones in Central Java.

‘We continue to approach potential investors and connect them with project owners. The hope is that the interest emerging from this forum can continue into investment realisation in Central Java,’ explained Sakina.

Through participation in CJIBF 2026, the Kudus Regency Government continues to encourage the opening of investment opportunities that align with regional potential and community needs. Investment is expected not only to increase economic activity, but also to expand employment opportunities, strengthen local business sectors, and support the sustainable development of Kudus Regency.
