Kudus Regent Assesses HSL All-Stars 2025/2026 Brings Multiple Benefits

Kudus Regent Sam’ani Intakoris assessed that the organisation of the Hydroplus Soccer League All-Stars 2025/2026 at the Supersoccer Arena in Kudus, Central Java, provided various benefits for the region, ranging from boosting the local economy and developing young athletes to promoting tourism potential. According to him, the presence of participants, officials, athletes’ families, and spectators during the tournament helped drive economic activity among the community, particularly micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the hospitality sector, and service providers around the match venue. “We appreciate the Bakti Djarum Foundation and Hydroplus for organising this event, so our hope is certainly that activities like this can continue to be held sustainably,” Sam’ani said after attending the closing ceremony on Sunday. He explained that these various benefits have strengthened Kudus’s image as a host for national-scale sporting events and potentially international ones in the future. This is because in August, the Srikandi Merdeka Cup 2026 will be held at the same venue, featuring U16 women’s football teams from seven countries: Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia as the host nation. He further explained that visitors are likely not only to watch the matches but also to take the opportunity to enjoy Kudus’s distinctive cuisine and visit various destinations in the area. This potential creates a multiplier effect for the community’s economy while introducing the region’s tourism potential to guests from various countries. In addition to providing an economic impact, the HSL All-Stars serves as an important platform for nurturing young female footballers. The tournament opens opportunities for talented players to gain match experience while being monitored in the process of forming a team for the Srikandi Merdeka Cup. Sam’ani added that the Kudus Regency Government is ready to support the organisation of the international tournament, which begins on 14-23 August. The community and students, he added, will be involved in welcoming participants from seven countries to support the event. The Kudus Regent stated that the regency government is committed to facilitating the licensing process and strengthening coordination with the police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces, and all stakeholders to ensure the event’s success. Hotel managers, homestay operators, and MSMEs are also encouraged to maintain service quality, price stability, and hospitality so that every guest has a positive experience while in Kudus Regency.
