Kudus Regent Assesses HSL All-Stars 2025/2026 Brings Multiple Benefits
The Regent of Kudus, Sam’ani Intakoris, believes the staging of the Hydroplus Soccer League All-Stars 2025/2026 at Supersoccer Arena in Kudus, Central Java, has delivered various benefits to the region, from boosting the local economy and developing young athletes to promoting tourism potential.
According to him, the presence of participants, officials, athletes’ families and spectators during the tournament has stimulated economic activity, particularly among micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM), the hotel sector and service providers around the match venue.
“We appreciate Bakti Djarum Foundation and Hydroplus for organising this event, so our hope is of course that activities like this can continue to be held on a sustainable basis,” said Sam’ani after attending the closing ceremony on Sunday.
He explained that these various benefits have strengthened Kudus’s image as a host of national-scale sporting events, and in future even international ones.
This is because, in August, the same venue will host the Srikandi Merdeka Cup 2026, featuring U16 women’s football teams from seven countries: Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia as the host nation.
He went on to explain that visitors will most likely not only watch the matches but also take the opportunity to enjoy Kudus’s culinary specialities and visit various destinations in the region.
This potential creates a multiplier effect for the local economy while introducing the region’s tourism attractions to guests from various countries.
Beyond the economic impact, the HSL All-Stars has served as an important platform for developing young women’s footballers.
The tournament opened opportunities for talented players to gain competitive experience, while also being scouted during the team-building process leading up to the Srikandi Merdeka Cup.
Sam’ani added that the Kudus Regency Government is ready to support the international tournament, which runs from 14 to 23 August.
Local residents and students, he added, will be involved in welcoming participants from the seven countries to support the event.
The Regent of Kudus stated that the regency government is committed to streamlining the licensing process and strengthening coordination with the police, the TNI and all stakeholders to ensure the success of the event.
Hotel and homestay operators as well as UMKM businesses are also being urged to maintain service quality, price stability and hospitality so that every guest has a positive experience while in Kudus Regency.
