Kudus Regency taps Bank Jateng CSR funds to boost MSMEs
Kudus (ANTARA) - The Kudus Regency Government in Central Java is utilising corporate social responsibility (CSR) assistance worth Rp149 million from Bank Jateng Kudus to enhance the capacity of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the creative economy in Kudus.
“We handed the assistance over to the Kudus Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) to be used for a number of MSME development programmes, ranging from training to product promotion and marketing activities,” said Kudus Regent Sam’ani Intakoris after receiving the CSR programme funds from Bank Jateng Kudus at the Kudus Regency Pendopo on Tuesday.
He said the CSR assistance is expected to be utilised optimally to encourage MSMEs and creative economy players to grow further and become more competitive.
Chair of Dekranasda Kudus, Endhah Sam’ani Intakoris, said the MSME capacity-building programme is one form of Bank Jateng’s support for poverty alleviation efforts as well as for strengthening MSMEs under Dekranasda’s guidance.
According to her, one of the activities to be carried out is training for MSME players. The training will run for three days, with two follow-on days after the opening event that had already been held.
“It is indeed from Bank Jateng. Our mission is poverty alleviation, and we are channelling it into MSMEs under Dekranasda’s guidance,” she said.
In addition to training, Dekranasda Kudus will also hold an MSME Expo on 18-20 September 2026. MSME players who take part in the training will have the opportunity to market their products through stalls provided at the event.
Endhah explained that the expo will also involve MSMEs guided by Dekranasda from various sectors, such as culinary, crafts, and fashion.
However, due to the limited budget available, this phase of the programme funded by Bank Jateng’s CSR can only be joined by 45 MSME players. That number was selected from around 300 MSMEs under the guidance of Dekranasda Kudus.
She also opened the door for MSME players not yet part of Dekranasda’s guidance to receive mentoring. Business owners can come directly to Dekranasda Kudus or register their products via the provided link.
According to Endhah, the mentoring provided covers not only product development and marketing, but also licensing matters and halal certification.
Meanwhile, Bank Jateng Kudus Marketing head Setyo Budi Cahyanto said the CSR programme is part of total assistance of around Rp1 billion allocated for a number of sectors in Kudus Regency.
“Each portion will go according to its function. There are allocations for the Social Affairs Office, the Health Office, PKPLH, and also one for the regency offices,” he said.
He emphasised that the CSR support directed to Dekranasda is aimed, among other things, at helping to boost the creative economy, particularly MSMEs in Kudus Regency.
