Kubu Raya Receives Award for Implementation of 3 Million Houses Programme

Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan, has achieved first place in the Batch II Regional Kalimantan Outstanding Local Government Awards for the category of Implementation of the 3 Million Houses Programme at the regency level.

The award was presented during the Batch II Regional Kalimantan Outstanding Local Government Appreciation event held in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, on Thursday (3/9).

Second place in this category was awarded to Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan, while third place went to Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan.

The assessment indicator for the regency-level 3 million houses programme category is the role of local governments in supporting the provision of decent housing for the community.

This role includes accelerating the provision of decent housing through policy support, sustainable settlement management, and collaborative housing solutions.

The Regional Kalimantan Batch II Outstanding Local Government Appreciation was organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagint) with the Institute of Home Affairs Governance (IPDN) serving as the organiser.

Four categories served as the basis for assessment: Population Access to Education Services, Implementation of the 3 Million Houses Programme, Waste and Environmental Management, and Access and Quality of Health Services.
