Kuansing Police Explore Cerenti Riverbank, Bringing Floating Clinic to Residents
The activity, led by Kuansing Police Chief AKBP Hidayat Perdana, was held in Pulau Jambu Village, Cerenti Subdistrict, on Wednesday (13/5). Accompanied by the Head of Traffic Police of Kuansing Police Resort AKP Siswoyo, the Police Chief distributed food aid packages to the local community.
Kuansing Police Chief stated that JALUR is an initiative and strategic programme of the Riau Regional Police in providing public services based on local wisdom, targeting coastal, riverine, and remote communities.
“The JALUR programme also represents the presence of the Indonesian National Police amidst the community. Through this programme, the Riau Regional Police is committed to continuously providing services to the public,” said AKBP Hidayat in his statement on Thursday (14/5/2026).
In addition to providing food aid to those in need, the Police Chief and his team also offered health services through a floating clinic. In collaboration with the Health Affairs Officer of Kuansing Police Resort and the health department, Kuansing Police Resort provided health check-ups, medications, and vitamins.
The activity was well-received by the local community. Residents appreciated the police presence and enthusiastically welcomed the JALUR programme.
On that occasion, the Police Chief also advised the community to jointly maintain security and public order, stay away from drugs, and protect the environment. One of the key emphases was keeping the river environment clean from pollution caused by illegal mining activities or waste.
“We urge the community to report to the National Police call centre at 110 if they encounter disturbances to security and public order or need assistance in emergency situations,” he concluded.
