Medan (ANTARA) - PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, the operator of Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, states that the peak return flow is predicted to occur on H+7 of Eid 2026. “Based on forecast data, the peak return flow is predicted on H+7 or 29 March 2026,” said Acting Director of Operation and Services of PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, Dedy Sri Cahyono, in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, on Monday. The company estimates passenger movements at Kualanamu International Airport to reach 26,495 people during that return flow. Recorded passenger movements amount to 208,030 people at Kualanamu International Airport during the outbound travel period from 13–21 March 2026. “We have prepared anticipatory steps to ensure smooth operations during that period,” Dedy stated. Transportation Minister (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi urges Eid travellers to avoid the peak return flow of Eid 2026, which falls on 24, 28, and 29 March 2026. “For that reason, we urge the public to return to Jabotabek on 23 March 2026 by utilising collective leave, or during the period of 25-27 March 2025 by utilising the Work From Anywhere period encouraged by the government,” Dudy said in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday (22/3).
