KSPSI's 53rd Anniversary: National Police Chief Attends Social Welfare Drive and Workers' Housing Renovation in Tangerang
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended a health-focused social welfare event marking the 53rd anniversary of the Confederation of All Indonesian Workers’ Unions (KSPSI). The programme included health check-ups, blood donations, and the renovation of workers’ homes.
The event was held at PT Victory Chingluh Indonesia in Pasar Kemis, Tangerang Regency, on Monday (16/2/2026). The Police Chief and his entourage arrived at 11.00 Western Indonesian Time and were greeted with a welcome dance.
General Sigit was accompanied by senior officials from National Police Headquarters and KSPSI President Andi Gani Nena Wea. Also present were Tangerang Regent Moch Maesyal Rasyid and Banten Regional Police Chief Inspector General Hengki.
Other officials accompanying the Police Chief included National Police Intelligence Agency Head Commissioner General Yuda Gustawan, National Police Special Criminal Investigation Coordinator Inspector General Cahyono Wibowo, and National Police Medical and Health Centre Head Inspector General Asep Hendradiana.
During the event, the Police Chief symbolically handed over various forms of assistance, including donations for orphans, basic food packages, and housing renovation grants for workers living in substandard conditions. Five workers’ representatives received the housing renovation assistance.
A total of 53 orphans from workers’ families also received donations comprising school bags, stationery, and cash grants from the Police Chief. In addition, he distributed 1,500 basic food packages and 10 containers of aid containing rice, cooking oil, sugar, and other essential goods.
Beyond social assistance, the event also saw the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on subsidised housing ownership. The agreement was concluded between Daru Estate and the KSPSI Tangerang Regency branch to support workers’ housing welfare.
The Police Chief also inspected the health service facilities directly. The healthcare services provided included blood donations, health examinations, provision of spectacles for workers and the public, basic laboratory tests, and the distribution of free vitamins and medicines.
General Sigit personally took part in the blood donation, following all stages of the process alongside the workers — from registration and blood pressure checks to blood type testing before entering the donation room.
The event involved medical personnel from the Banten Regional Police Medical Division, the National Police Medical and Health Centre, and the Tangerang Regency branch of the Indonesian Red Cross, comprising surgical specialists, internal medicine doctors, and dentists.
