KSP ready to "chop down" improper practices in priority programmes
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Dudung Abdurachman is prepared to “chop down” any improper practices encountered during the implementation of President Prabowo Subianto’s priority programmes, such as the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) and People’s Schools.
At the opening of the VII Congress of the Indonesian Christian Intelligentsia Union (PIKI) in Jakarta on Thursday, Dudung Abdurachman explained that as the head of the Presidential Staff Office, he is tasked with serving as a bridge between the public and the government, as well as conducting oversight when reports from the public arise regarding various government programmes.
“This includes national priority programmes and flagship national programmes, such as the President’s flagship initiatives like MBG, People’s Schools, and others,” Dudung clarified.
“If the implementation in the field is not right, I will chop it down later,” Dudung added.
On that occasion, the former Army Chief of Staff also conveyed the importance of national insight as a pillar of national resilience.
Reflecting on the current global situation, where numerous conflicts occur due to various backgrounds, Indonesia—comprising diverse ethnic groups, classes, and religions—must prioritise maintaining unity and cohesion.
In particular, he warned against content on various social media platforms that uses provocative language and spreads misleading information. If misleading information is repeatedly disseminated, it can be perceived as truth.
“Therefore, let us keep our eyes and ears open to continue hearing and seeing, but focus on positive things. Do not get carried away by misleading information,” Dudung stated.
On that occasion, he also specifically urged the public to always be wary of all disseminated information.
