The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) has stated that the government is open to dialogue with parties rejecting the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Programme in order to gather various inputs regarding its implementation. KSP Head Dudung Abdurachman said in Jakarta on Friday that President Prabowo Subianto and the government are providing space for the public to convey criticism and suggestions about the programme. “The government will be open, even the President will be open to any suggestions and input. As for the timing, I am available at any time,” he said. He added that the complaint and aspiration service managed by the KSP can also be utilised by the public to submit input regarding the MBG Programme. According to him, the KSP is ready to engage in dialogue with community groups holding differing views on the programme. He noted that information regarding the alleged funding of opposition actions needs to be further verified through legal processes. “I am confident the President also receives accurate information. We just need to determine the next legal steps,” he said. He assessed that the MBG Programme has provided benefits for children, pregnant women, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and volunteers involved in its implementation. According to Dudung, the programme aims to improve public welfare and nutritional fulfilment, not merely for the sake of popularity. “Its main objective is for the welfare of the people in accordance with the ideals of the Indonesian nation,” he said.
