KSP Hopes National Nutrition Agency Becomes More Transparent and Accountable Following Removal of Dadan Hindayana

The Chief of Staff to the President (KSP), Dudung Abdurrachman, has expressed appreciation for President Prabowo Subianto’s steps to reform the structure of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). He expressed confidence that President Prabowo had carefully considered the removal of the BGN leadership.

“I am confident that the President has long been receiving information, scrutinising, analysing, and evaluating various sources that reach him,” Dudung told reporters at the Senayan Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.

He believes that the agency responsible for managing the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme will become increasingly transparent and accountable following the leadership restructuring. “Therefore, this is the right step; I am certain this is for future improvement so that the BGN becomes more transparent, accountable, and truly reflects the President’s wish that this public money must be strictly guarded,” he said.

Furthermore, Dudung suggested that the change in BGN leadership was likely planned for some time. He believes President Prabowo possesses reliable information regarding the implementation of the MBG programme on the ground. “I am sure it was planned beforehand. Most likely, that is the case. Much information has reached him. I believe the information reaching the President did not merely come from my findings in the field, but from many sources,” Dudung explained.

He emphasised that President Prabowo intends for the programme’s implementation to be maximal and free from any deviations, given that the programme utilises the state budget, which must be accounted for to the public. “The President wants perfection, ensuring that no deviations from his programme occur at all. Because this is the people’s money, which must be accounted for to the people,” he explained.

When asked whether specific findings were a factor in the evaluation of the Head of the BGN, Dudung confirmed this. “Yes, that was one of the factors,” he stated.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto removed Dadan Hindayana as the Head of the National Nutrition Agency, effective Tuesday, 2 June 2026. The removal was announced by the Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, who also serves as the Presidential Spokesperson, during a press conference at the Presidential Office in Jakarta on Tuesday night, 2 June 2026.

“Today, Tuesday, 2 June 2026, the President has made the decision to change the leadership of the National Nutrition Agency,” said Prasetyo.
