KSP Head Dudung Admits Summoned by Gibran to Discuss Improvements at National Nutrition Agency
The Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), General (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman, stated that he was summoned to meet Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to discuss improvements regarding issues within the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). Dudung subsequently met with Gibran before meeting with the Head of the BGN, Dadan Hindayana.
“Before meeting the Head of the BGN, I was summoned by the Vice President specifically to discuss how to improve problems within the BGN,” Dudung said at the KSP Office in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Dudung noted that one of the proposed improvements involves bringing in nutrition experts and specialists who are deemed to master the issues within the School Nutrition Implementation Unit (SPPG). He stated that these steps are intended solely to refine the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme and the future operations of the BGN.
“Hopefully, this will continue to improve because this is a priority programme of the President that we must support, as it is highly beneficial for children,” he added.
In addition to the meeting with Gibran, Dudung mentioned that the Head of the BGN, Dadan Hindayana, also met with him to report on the current situation within the agency. Dudung emphasised that, as Head of the KSP, he will closely monitor and supervise the MBG programme, which is one of the government’s flagship initiatives.
Dudung also stated that the KSP continues to work in synergy with the BGN in executing the MBG programme. “We must ensure there are no rogue individuals selling quotas or manipulating the system for profit. This must not happen, and I will continue to conduct checks,” said Dudung, the former Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army.
