KSP expresses condolences over train accident in East Bekasi
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Dudung Abdurachman has expressed condolences over the train collision that occurred in East Bekasi.
“I extend my condolences for the incident that happened last night in East Bekasi. We pray that the bereaved families are granted fortitude and that the deceased victims are placed at the side of Allah SWT,” Dudung stated through an official release in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Head of the Indonesian Government Communication Agency Muhammad Qodari assured that the government has given full attention to handling this tragedy, with President Prabowo Subianto personally visiting the victims at Bekasi General Hospital on Tuesday morning.
“Hopefully, this is handled well quickly and such incidents can be improved in the future with a better system, so that similar events do not recur,” he emphasised.
President Prabowo Subianto directly inspected the condition of the train accident victims at Bekasi General Hospital, following the collision between a commuter line train and a long-distance train at East Bekasi Station on Monday (27/4) night.
The President conveyed profound sorrow and emphasised that the government will promptly conduct a comprehensive investigation to uncover the cause of the accident.
