KSP ensures smooth fuel distribution to prevent long queues

If the Plumpang Fuel Terminal operates effectively, energy distribution for Jakarta and its surrounding areas will be more controlled.

The Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), Retired General TNI Dudung Abdurachman, inspected the smoothness of fuel distribution at the Plumpang Fuel Terminal in Jakarta on Monday to prevent long queues.

“My duty as the KSP is vital to ensure that no shortages, long queues, or supply disruptions occur within the community,” said Dudung at the Plumpang Fuel Terminal, Jakarta, on Monday.

Dudung stated that the Plumpang Fuel Terminal plays a crucial role in maintaining the reliability of fuel supplies at petrol stations, as the terminal serves as one of the primary hubs for energy distribution for DKI Jakarta and the surrounding regions.

The readiness of Plumpang, he continued, is an important indicator of energy supply resilience in the Jabodetube area.

“If the Plumpang Fuel Terminal operates well, energy distribution for Jakarta and its surroundings will also be more controlled,” he said.

Based on operational data from Pertamina Patra Niaga, the Plumpang Fuel Terminal has a storage capacity of approximately 324,000 kilolitres (KL).

“This terminal plays a massive role in maintaining the continuity of fuel supplies. The Plumpang Terminal serves more than a thousand distribution agencies and channels. Its coverage is very extensive,” said Dudung.

Therefore, he added, the KSP directly inspected the reliability of the Plumpang Fuel Terminal to ensure that fuel distribution to the public is monitored and guaranteed to remain smooth.

In addition to ensuring distribution reliability, the KSP also monitored the fuel quality testing mechanisms in the terminal’s laboratory.

“Testing is conducted from visual inspections to quality parameters, such as RON, to ensure that the fuel reaching the public truly meets the required standards,” said Dudung.

Dudung’s visit to the Plumpang Fuel Terminal was accompanied by the Head of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Wahyudi Anas, the Director of Planning and Business Growth of Pertamina Patra Niaga Joko Pranoto, and the Director of Downstream Optimisation and Distribution of Pertamina Patra Niaga Hari Purnomo.
