KSP Dudung to Attend May Day to Hear Workers' Aspirations

JAKARTA - The Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), Dudung Abdurachman, will attend the peak of Labour Day or May Day 2026 celebrations on Friday (1/5/2026) to observe and directly hear the aspirations of workers. “Of course, I will also be present, and I will see and listen to the aspirations from the workers,” Dudung stated in Jakarta on Thursday (30/4/2026), quoted from Antara. Dudung conveyed that the workers’ aspirations will also be heard and responded to by President Prabowo Subianto, who will be present at tomorrow’s May Day event. “I am confident that the President will respond to what will be conveyed. I am confident that the Indonesian people uphold morality, uphold unity and oneness, and uphold the noble values of the nation,” Dudung said. President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend the Labour Day or May Day commemoration at Monas, Jakarta, on 1 May 2026. “President Prabowo is scheduled to attend the peak of the 2026 National Labour Day commemoration, which will be held at the National Monument in Jakarta,” said Head of the Indonesian Government Communication Agency (Bakom) RI, M Qodari, during a press conference at his office in Jakarta on Wednesday (29/4/2026). He emphasised that the government is present to protect workers while also safeguarding jobs. “The government wants to affirm one thing: the government’s position is not against workers or labourers, but stands together with workers and labourers. The state is present as a protector of workers and a guardian of job continuity,” Qodari stated.
