KSP Dudung: Government Intensifies Review of 'Sekolah Rakyat' Program
The Chief of Staff to the President (KSP), Dudung Abdurachman, stated that he will coordinate with relevant ministries should any deficiencies be identified in the implementation of the ‘Sekolah Rakyat’ (People’s School) Programme.
“If there are any shortcomings, I will certainly communicate them with the relevant ministries,” said Dudud Abdurachman following his inspection of the Integrated People’s School (SRT) I in Serdang Bedagai Regency on Monday.
He noted that addressing deficiencies in this priority programme of the central government is a necessary step to ensure that field implementation adheres to the assigned directions, duties, and responsibilities.
“Today, I am observing and ensuring compliance, as the duty of the Chief of Staff to the President is to oversee the President’s programmes. I am currently in Serdang Bedagai Regency to conduct a direct check,” Dudung said.
Dudung added that any issues encountered during the implementation of the People’s School programme will be reported to the relevant policymakers for immediate follow-up.
During the visit, Dudung mentioned that at least 93 People’s Schools have been built permanently across Indonesia during the second phase. Furthermore, there are 66 proposed allocations for the third phase. “The President’s target is the construction of 590 permanent People’s Schools by 2029,” concluded Dudung Abdurachman.
