KSP Chief Dudung Reviews Free Nutritious Meals in Purwakarta After School Holidays

Chief of Presidential Staff Dudung Abdurachman directly inspected the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme in Purwakarta Regency, West Java, on Monday, to ensure the strengthening of governance for this national priority programme runs optimally after the school holidays. “Let us make this school environment introduction period a child-friendly experience, so that schools become safe, comfortable, and enjoyable places, while shaping a healthy, intelligent, and character-driven generation,” said Dudung during the operational review of the Ciseureuh 8 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) and the MBG programme implementation at SD Negeri 3 Ciseureuh, Purwakarta. He stated that the focus of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) is to ensure the readiness of nutrition service units after the school holidays. Regarding his visit to SPPG Ciseureuh 8, the Chief of Presidential Staff revealed he monitored in detail every operational workflow of the SPPG. “I directly monitored how the process at SPPG, which has been reactivated after a full month’s holiday, is running according to standards, from food production, food quality, and food safety, to distribution, and ensuring the food is received on time,” he said. “We held dialogues with the SPPG management, the headmaster, teachers, and especially the children who are beneficiaries, and we heard directly about the quality of food they wish to receive, the menus served, and the benefits they are beginning to feel in supporting their learning. Feedback from beneficiaries is an important part of the evaluation to continuously improve the quality of the Free Nutritious Meals programme,” he added. He explained that the MBG programme is currently entering a phase of strengthening governance in accordance with Circular Letter Number 12 of 2026 from the National Nutrition Agency. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has taken strategic steps with various parties to realise the President’s directive. In addition to focusing on nutritional fulfilment, the Chief of Presidential Staff reviewed the implementation of other priority programmes at SDN 3 Ciseureuh, namely school renovation and the digitalisation of learning using Interactive Digital Boards. He also provided notes regarding the condition of school facilities and infrastructure that still require further improvement. “We are also ensuring that the remaining old buildings, which have already been proposed, will hopefully receive government support for renovation this year,” he said.
