KSP Acknowledges Reports of Bribery Regarding Free Nutritious Meal Kitchen Sites: BGN Management Must Be Improved
The Chief of Staff to the Presidency (KSP), Dudung Abduranchman, has admitted to receiving information regarding the alleged buying and selling of Service Units for Nutritional Fulfilment (SPPG) sites, or kitchens, for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme within the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). Dudung suggested that the entire management of the BGN must be overhauled following these allegations of corruption.
“I have also received such information. From my perspective, what really needs to be addressed is how the management itself must be improved,” Dudung told reporters at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
He added that President Prabowo Subianto intends to use the MBG programme to enhance the intelligence of the nation’s children and is determined to prevent any opportunities for corruption within his administration’s work programmes.
“The President’s good intention to educate children through the MBG programme means it is not just about providing food; the management must be regulated so that no loopholes for malpractice are exploited by kitchen owners, foundations, or the SPPG units themselves, as this would inevitably reduce quality,” Dudung stated.
Previously, it was reported that the BGN office in Jakarta was raided by investigators from the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) on Wednesday, 3 June 2026. The raid has drawn significant attention as it occurred just one day after President Prabowo Subianto reshuffled the agency’s leadership.
Jefri, the Acting Head of the Legal Information Centre at the Attorney General’s Office, confirmed the raid. He stated that investigators from the Special Crimes Directorate (Dittipidsus) were indeed conducting legal actions at the BGN office.
Reports have also emerged suggesting that the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Dadan Hindayana, along with two former Deputy Heads, Lodewyk Pusung and Sonny Sanjaya, were taken in for questioning starting from 04:00 WIB. However, the Attorney General’s Office has yet to provide an official explanation regarding these reports, with Jefri only confirming the search of the BGN office located in the Kebon Sirih area, Central Jakarta.
