Kroya Waterfall in Sambangan Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, will host the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2026. The internationally renowned cliff diving event will be held from Wednesday 20 May 2026 to Saturday 23 May 2026. Buleleng Regent I Nyoman Sutjidra said choosing Kroya Waterfall as the venue for the international competition offers an opportunity to showcase North Bali’s tourism potential to the world. Kroya Waterfall is known as one of Bali’s natural tourist destinations in Buleleng, frequently used by visitors for canyoning and adventure activities. It is located in the Sambangan area, which also features several other waterfalls, including Aling-Aling Waterfall. Sutjidra said the presence of the international event is expected to increase tourist visits and stimulate the tourism economy in North Bali. “We not only have waterfalls, but also dolphin-watching, cultural tourism, and various other destinations that are no less than those in the southern part of Bali,” he said. Through the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2026, local government hopes North Bali will be better known as an adventure and natural-sport destination on the international stage. Indonesia has been selected as the host for this extreme-sports competition for the first time. The season-opening series of 2026 will be held in Bali from 20-23 May 2026. In addition to Kroya Waterfall, the competition will also be held at the T-Rex Cliff, Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, Klungkung Regency. Athletes from several countries are scheduled to perform jumps from natural cliffs and heights that are a hallmark of the event.
