Krom Bank Strengthens Financing Partnership with Pandai Gadai
“Going forward, we will continue to explore various synergy opportunities to support the healthy growth of the pawnbroking industry.”
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Krom Bank Indonesia Tbk (ticker code: BBSI) has strengthened its financing partnership by providing a credit facility to Pandai Gadai, one of Indonesia’s private pawnbroking companies.
The financing facility forms part of Krom Bank’s commitment to strengthening the national financial services ecosystem while broadening public access to fast, modern and trusted collateral-based financing.
“This cooperation also reflects the confidence of Krom Bank and Pandai Gadai in the prospects of the national pawnbroking industry, which continues to show positive growth,” said Krom Bank President Director Anton Hermawan in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Over the past year, the pawnbroking industry has recorded growth in outstanding financing of more than 50 per cent, reflecting rising public demand for fast and flexible collateral-based financing solutions.
This momentum has also driven transformation within the industry through service innovation, stronger governance and the use of technology to deliver an increasingly better customer experience.
Anton said the cooperation between Krom Bank and Pandai Gadai is a strategic step to strengthen synergy between the two companies in supporting the development of Indonesia’s financial services ecosystem.
“By combining Krom Bank’s digital capabilities and Pandai Gadai’s experience in the pawnbroking industry, we are optimistic that we can deliver financing solutions that are increasingly relevant to the public through collaboration with partners that possess strong capabilities and governance,” said Anton.
He added that the financing facility lays the foundation for a long-term relationship between the two companies in supporting healthy business growth while expanding financial inclusion in Indonesia.
Founded in 2023, Pandai Gadai has grown into one of Indonesia’s fastest-growing private pawnbroking companies, operating more than 250 branches across Jakarta and West Java.
The company combines an extensive branch network with integrated digital capabilities, as well as disciplined business governance and risk management, to deliver modern and trusted pawnbroking services.
Pandai Gadai Commissioner Henry Hendrawan said the partnership with Krom Bank marks an important milestone for the company, accelerating its business expansion while improving the quality of service to customers.
“This financing support will strengthen our capacity to reach more people through modern, trusted and inclusive collateral-based financing solutions,” he explained.
“Going forward, we will continue to explore various synergy opportunities to support the healthy growth of the pawnbroking industry and broaden public access to fast, safe and responsible financing solutions,” Henry added.
