KRL Update Today: Jakarta-Cikarang Route Still Limited to Bekasi Station

KOMPAS.com - The Jakarta-Cikarang KRL service is still undergoing adjustments on Wednesday morning (29/4/2026), with trains operating only to or from Bekasi Station. Through its official @commuterline account, KAI Commuter stated that this limitation is due to the track normalisation process not yet being fully completed. “This morning, on Wednesday (29/4/2026), the Cikarang Commuter Line service is still being adjusted. Trains are only running to or from Bekasi Station,” KAI Commuter wrote. To support passenger mobility to Bekasi, KAI Commuter is providing shuttle bus services from Bulak Kapal Terminal. “To reach Bekasi Station, users can use the shuttle bus at Bulak Kapal Terminal, Bekasi,” the statement continued. The operator noted that field teams are continuing to repair the tracks and ensure all safety aspects are met before services return to normal. “Currently, field teams are continuing to normalise the railway tracks and ensure all safety aspects are fulfilled. We apologise for the inconvenience, always prioritise safety and follow instructions from officers,” KAI Commuter wrote. This service adjustment is a consequence of the accident between the Cikarang-bound KRL and the Argo Bromo Anggrek train at the Bekasi Timur Station platform on Monday night (27/4/2026). The incident is believed to have started when the KRL hit a taxi at a crossing, leading to the subsequent collision with the long-distance train. As a result, 15 people were reported dead and dozens more injured. The victims are currently receiving treatment at several hospitals in the Bekasi area. Meanwhile, all 240 passengers of the Argo Bromo Anggrek train were reported safe.
