KRL to JIS to Operate Until 9:30 PM, Minister Says Hours Will Be Extended for Events
The Jakarta Provincial Government inaugurated the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) KRL Station on Monday (22/6/2026). The station’s presence will further ease public access to the international-standard stadium in the North Jakarta area.
Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi acknowledged that KRL operations on the pink line are currently limited, with the latest service running until 9:30 PM Western Indonesian Time from Jakarta Kota towards Tanjung Priok. Meanwhile, events held at JIS typically conclude late at night.
“In accordance with this schedule, our operations on the pink line run until 9:30 PM WIB, but if there is a special event in this area, we will extend the operating hours,” Dudy said at the JIS KRL Station on Monday afternoon.
According to him, schedule adjustments can be made following coordination with either the JIS or Ancol management. This is to ensure visitors can still use the KRL after events finish.
“We will adjust the train scheduling to match events organised by the regional government, Ancol, or JIS,” Dudy stated.
He said that extending KRL operations is very feasible and is a common practice for public transport operators under certain circumstances.
“As you may know, for certain events we extend the service hours of trains, such as the MRT during specific events, and recently during Java Jazz we also extended the operations of train services and station services,” Dudy explained.
Based on the February 2026 Commuter Line Jabodetabek schedule, the first pink line departure from Jakarta Kota Station is at 5:00 AM WIB, arriving at Tanjung Priok Station at 5:16 AM WIB. Conversely, the last train from Tanjung Priok Station departs at 5:30 AM WIB and arrives at Jakarta Kota Station at 5:46 AM WIB.
Meanwhile, the last pink line departure from Jakarta Kota Station is at 8:30 PM WIB, arriving at Tanjung Priok Station at 8:46 PM WIB. The final train from Tanjung Priok Station departs at 9:00 PM WIB and arrives at Jakarta Kota Station at 9:18 PM WIB.
From this data, the headway for the pink line is approximately 20-30 minutes. The travel time for the pink line from Jakarta Kota, Kampung Bandan, Ancol, to Tanjung Priok or vice versa is 16 minutes. However, JIS Station is not yet included in this data.
