Commuter line (KRL) services on the Bogor-Jakarta Kota route were disrupted after a member of the public was struck by a train near Tebet Station. Passengers piled up at Citayam Station in Depok.

Monitoring by detikcom on Thursday (20/8/2026) at 08.15 WIB showed passengers crowding the platform towards Jakarta. A number of passengers were seen sitting on the stairs and platform floor.

A KRL heading to Jakarta Kota was still halted at platform 1. Officers said the disruption was being handled and trains were passing alternately.

“We apologise for your journey,” an officer said over the loudspeaker.

Earlier, KRL services on the Bogor-Jakarta Kota line were hampered this morning. This occurred after a member of the public was struck near Tebet Station.

“We apologise for the delay to Commuterline Bogor-Jakarta Kota services due to train KA 1183 striking a person between Pasar Minggu and Manggarai stations at 06.35,” said KAI Commuter VP Corporate Secretary Karina Amanda on Thursday (20/8).

As of 08.20 WIB, KRL services began to return to normal. Trains began arriving alternately at Citayam Station.
