KRL Services Limited to Bekasi Station Due to Train Accident in East Bekasi
JAKARTA — PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has announced that Bekasi Timur Station in Bekasi will temporarily not serve passenger boarding and alighting activities. This policy is in response to a collision accident between the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train and a commuter rail (KRL) at Bekasi Timur Station in Bekasi City on Monday night (27/4/2026). VP of Corporate Communication at KAI, Anne Purba, stated that for KRL passengers planning to travel, they can temporarily use services via Bekasi Station until further notice. “We extend our apologies to all customers for the inconvenience caused. Our primary focus at this time is handling the situation on-site and ensuring the safety and service for customers remain fulfilled,” said Anne in a written statement on Tuesday (28/4/2026). According to Anne, KAI is continuously coordinating with all relevant parties to expedite the handling process and restoration of services. “This is being done so that train operations can return to normal as soon as possible,” Anne added. KAI further noted that the latest updates on service developments will be provided periodically through the company’s official channels.
