Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 1 Jakarta has reminded passengers of adjustments to KRL services due to the closure of platforms on tracks six to eight at Bogor Station for around three months, as part of efforts to develop the station’s infrastructure.

“These adjustments are being made with priority given to the safety aspects of train operations, considering the limitations of operational tracks during the work,” said Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The infrastructure development work at Bogor Station, which officially began today, includes extending the railway tracks as well as adjusting and developing platforms to increase capacity and service quality at one of the stations with the highest passenger volume in the Jabodetabek region.

In line with the implementation of this work, there will be a temporary closure of platforms on tracks six to eight, along with adjustments to the operational patterns of KRL services at Bogor Station and surrounding areas.

“The temporary closure of platforms six to eight is being carried out to ensure that all work processes, including track extensions and platform rearrangements, can proceed safely and optimally,” said Franoto.

He hopes that this development will have a positive impact in the form of increased service capacity, smoother passenger flow, and improved comfort at Bogor Station.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta emphasises that all work is being carried out to high safety standards, both to ensure the security of train operations and the safety of workers on site.

Each stage of the work is conducted according to technical procedures, equipped with strict supervision, risk management, and intensive coordination between units and relevant parties.

“Safety is our top priority. Therefore, all track extension and platform development work is being carried out with strict safety standards to avoid disrupting operational reliability while still ensuring customer safety,” added Franoto.

As a mitigation step, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta is also optimising the remaining active tracks and disseminating information massively to service users through various communication channels, so that passengers can better adjust their travel plans.
