KRL Operates Normally During Labour Day Holiday on 1 May 2026, Security Enhanced

Coinciding with the Labour Day holiday today, Friday (1/5/2026), KAI Commuter continues to operate a total of 1,032 Commuter Line journeys in the Jabodetabek area, also known as Kereta Rel Listrik (KRL). This number comprises 373 journeys on the Bogor Commuter Line, 281 on Cikarang, 192 on Rangkasbitung, 122 on Tangerang, 64 on Tanjung Priok, and 70 to and from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The addition of security personnel at stations follows the expected influx of passengers, particularly workers attending the series of 2026 Labour Day commemoration activities or May Day. The number is adjusted based on field needs and urgency. A total of 29 security personnel are on standby at Palmerah Station, 25 at Sudirman Station, 36 at Juanda Station, and 29 at Gondangdia Station. Additionally, 43 security personnel at Manggarai Station and 41 at Tanah Abang Station. “In total, KAI Commuter will deploy 200 security personnel consisting of PKD and BKO Marinir. These security officers are placed at stations located in areas that are centres of Labour Day activities,” said Karina. According to Karina, this additional security ensures that service personnel remain on duty to help maintain and manage the flow of Commuter Line passengers to keep it smooth, safe, and comfortable. “Commuter Line users can board and alight at other alternative stations, such as BNI City Station or Karet Station located next to Sudirman Station,” she said. There is also Sawah Besar Station next to Juanda Station, Cikini Station next to Gondangdia Station. Additionally, there is Kebayoran Station located next to Palmerah Station.
