KRL Greenline Disrupted, Power Supply Issues Between Jurangmangu and Pondok Ranji
South Tangerang, Kompas.com - The journey of the Electric Rail Train (KRL) on the Tanah Abang–Rangkasbitung line, known as the Greenline route, was disrupted due to infrastructure issues on Monday (4/5/2026) afternoon.
The incident was recorded and uploaded to the Instagram account @jalur5 on social media.
The post showed passengers on the Greenline route piling up at two KRL stations, namely Pondok Ranji and Jurangmangu.
“Currently, passengers are asked to disembark because the KRL will be shut down,” the post stated.
In response, VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, said the disruption occurred to the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) between Jurangmangu Station and Pondok Ranji Station around 4:30 PM WIB.
Due to the incident, the company expressed apologies to KRL users for the disruption that occurred.
“We apologise for the disruption,” she said.
As of now, technicians are still carrying out repairs to restore train operations so they can return to normal.
