Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - KAI Commuter has reported operational disruptions on the Rangkasbitung Commuter Line on Monday afternoon (4/5/2026). The issue stems from sparks on an Overhead Catenary System (OCS) pole.

This has led to a shutdown of the OCS network, temporarily halting Commuter Line services between Pondokranji and Sudimara stations from 4:30 PM WIB.

“At 4:30 PM, there was a disruption to the OCS infrastructure between Jurangmangu and Pondokranji stations. It is currently being handled by our staff. We apologise for the inconvenience,” stated Vice President Corporate Secretary of PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia, Karina Amanda, to CNBC Indonesia.

Relevant personnel are currently addressing the issue and working to restore normal Commuter Line operations in the area, which is currently experiencing rain.

KAI Commuter has also expressed apologies for this operational hiccup and the resulting delays on the Rangkasbitung Commuter Line this afternoon. To minimise delays, KAI Commuter will implement journey rerouting on the affected line.

“For the time being, Commuter Line services from Rangkasbitung/Parung Panjang will only run to Serpong Station, while services from Tanah Abang will only go to Kebayoran Station,” Karina explained.

KAI Commuter advises all users to prioritise safety and follow instructions from station staff. Updates on Commuter Line services can be accessed via the C-Access app and official KAI Commuter social media accounts.
