The electric rail train (KRL) on the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung route came to a sudden stop on Monday (4/5/2026) afternoon. Putri, one of the passengers on the KRL, said the train had been stationary for about one hour on the track between Kebayoran Lama Station and Pondok Ranji Station. She mentioned that conditions inside the carriage were uncomfortable because the air conditioning (AC) was off and only some lights were on. Putri added that the train driver had informed passengers of an overhead electrical supply disruption causing the journey to be interrupted. VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, explained that the disruption occurred on the Overhead Electrical Supply (LAA) between Jurangmangu Station and Pondok Ranji Station around 4:30 PM WIB. βAt 4:30 PM, there was a disruption to the LAA infrastructure between Jurangmangu Station and Pondok Ranji Station; it is currently being handled by the officers,β Karina said when confirmed by Kompas.com via WhatsApp on Monday. KAI Commuter expressed apologies to KRL users for the disruption that occurred. As of now, officers are still carrying out repairs to restore the train journey to normal.
