Electricity in one of the electric rail trains (KRL) on the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung route briefly went out on Monday afternoon. KAI Commuter explained that the power outage did not last long. “That’s correct, at 4:10 PM WIB today there was a technical disruption in the overhead power supply on the track between Parungpanjang Station and Cilejit Station,” said Corporate Secretary Vice President of KAI Commuter Indonesia (KCI), Karina Amanda, on Monday (13/4/2026). She stated that the overhead power disruption on that route did not cause any impact on the journeys of other Commuter Lines. “The disruption only lasted for 1 minute and has returned to normal, so it did not result in any train delays,” she added. One of the Green Line KRL passengers, the popular name for the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung route KRL, shared a short video of when the power went out in the train he was on. In the video, the atmosphere inside the carriage was seen to be dark because most of the lights were off. The conditions inside the KRL did not appear to be too crowded with passengers. The train doors were still closed, and passengers remained seated or standing in their respective positions. Shortly afterwards, the lights inside the KRL carriage came back on.
