Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) Station officially began operating on 22 June 2026. KAI Commuter Line is offering a special fare for users of JIS Station until 28 June 2026.

According to official information from KAI Commuter via its X account @CommuterLine, JIS Station users will be charged a fare of Rp 1 during the limited operational period of 22-28 June 2026. This promotion applies to Commuter Line Tanjung Priok users boarding from JIS Station heading to Tanjung Priok, Ancol, Kampung Bandan, and Jakarta Kota stations, and vice versa.

Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwaghandi explained that the KRL JIS Station on the Tanjung Priok-Jakarta Kota route currently has only one platform. However, he stated that further development of KRL JIS services will be carried out.

“It is indeed still one platform and we have conveyed to the DKI Provincial Government that we will develop it further. And I need to inform everyone that as of today, this station is already active and can serve passengers,” he said.

Dudy stated that the distance from JIS KRL Station to Jakarta Kota Station takes only 15 minutes. The Ministry of Transportation is targeting JIS KRL Station to become a permanent station next year.

“So the end-to-end distance is approximately 15 minutes, if I am not mistaken from here it is about 10 minutes to the city. So it is already active and we will increasingly develop it into a permanent station. We expect the target to be completed within the next year,” Dudy explained.

JIS Station is located between Tanjung Priok Station and Ancol Station in North Jakarta. This KRL station serves Commuter Line journeys on the Jakarta Kota-Tanjung Priok line.

For passengers, the route to JIS Station can be taken via the following lines:

  • Jakarta Kota - Kampung Bandan - Ancol - JIS - Tanjung Priok

  • Tanjung Priok - JIS - Ancol - Kampung Bandan - Jakarta Kota

Passengers from the Bogor, Bekasi, Cikarang, Serpong, or Rangkasbitung lines can first transit to the line connected to Jakarta Kota or Kampung Bandan, then continue their journey to JIS Station.
