The extended Eid holiday period began today. KRL trains from Cibinong Station to Jakarta Kota remained busy with passengers.

Observations by detikcom at Cibinong Station on Wednesday 18 March at 07:00 showed the station still bustling as usual. Many workers continued boarding the KRL.

Beyond workers, some passengers were seen carrying suitcases and travel bags, whilst others carried large backpacks. Queues on the station platforms remained filled with passengers waiting to board KRL trains.

A passenger named Windi, aged 32, continued working during this extended Eid holiday. She explained that her office had not yet begun its leave.

“Yes, I’m still working. My office only starts leave on the 20th tomorrow,” she said at the station.

Since her office remained open, Windi would only depart to her hometown on 20 March. She would travel by private vehicle.

“Yes, I’ll head home, God willing. Since I’m not on leave yet, I’m travelling home on the 20th,” she said.

“I’m driving my own car,” she added.

Another passenger, Doni aged 28, stated he was heading to Dukuh Atas LRT Station. He intended to travel home to Bandung by express rail Whoosh.

“I’m heading to the LRT Dukuh Atas station, then boarding Whoosh afterwards. Going to Bandung,” he said at Cibinong Station on Wednesday 18 March 2026.

From today, he was already on leave from work. He was grateful to have already begun his leave, allowing him to travel home earlier without rushing for Eid.

“Yes, thank God I’m already on leave so I can head home sooner,” said Doni.
