For passengers of the Commuter Line Basoetta wishing to cancel their journeys due to significant delays, KAI Commuter will provide a 100% refund. Passengers can directly contact service staff at Commuter Line Basoetta stations,” said KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan to journalists on Tuesday (26/5/2026).

Leza stated that operations for the Commuter Line Tangerang and Commuter Line Basoetta services had returned to normal at 19:39 WIB.

He explained that staff had evacuated the stranded Duri-Tangerang KRL by coupling it with another KRL set to reach Rawa Buaya Station.

“All passengers of Commuter Line No. 1978A were redirected to Commuter Line No. 1980A for the next departure at Bojongindah Station,” Leza said.

The Duri-Tangerang KRL disruption earlier this afternoon affected three Commuter Line Tangerang trips and four Airport Train services, causing delays. Additionally, two Commuter Line Tangerang trips were cancelled.

Leza mentioned that passenger restrictions were implemented on the second-floor hall of Duri Station to ensure safety on the platform areas.

It is known that the Duri-Tangerang KRL service experienced disruption this afternoon on the upstream section between Duri and Rawabuaya stations. KAI Commuter apologised for the infrastructure disruption on this route.

“KAI Commuter apologised for the infrastructure disruption affecting Commuter Line No. 1978A on the Duri-Tangerang route, which occurred at 17:05 WIB on Tuesday (26/5) on the upstream section between Duri and Rawabuaya stations,” said KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan in a statement.

Leza explained that staff responded after receiving reports. The disruption, he said, affected the Overhead Line (OHL), which had to be de-energised, rendering the Duri-Rawabuaya upstream section impassable.

“Upon receiving the report, relevant staff immediately coordinated and handled the situation on-site to ensure travel safety and expedite the restoration of Commuter Line operations,” Leza said.

He stated that the overhead line power was restored at 17:56 WIB. Commuter Line No. 1978A was coupled with No. 1980A to proceed to Track 3 at Rawabuaya Station for further inspection.
