A disruption affecting the Bojong Gede–Citayam commuter rail line has returned to normal on Wednesday 11 March 2026 at approximately 19:05 WIB.

The operational disruption occurred on Wednesday afternoon on the overhead catenary system (Listrik Aliran Atas, or LAA), which caused KRL services to be disrupted. KAI Commuter announced the information via its official X account @Commuterline.

“Repairs to the operational disruption on the overhead catenary system (LAA) between Bojong Gede and Citayam stations have been completed. Commuter Line services between Bojong Gede–Citayam or in the reverse direction can now operate on both tracks and are undergoing congestion clearance on the line. We apologise for the inconvenience,” KAI Commuter stated.

With repairs completed, KRL services on the line can now operate via both tracks again. KAI Commuter explained that the disruption occurred in the overhead catenary system (LAA), which serves as the power source for the electric trains.

“KAI Commuter Update: There is an operational disruption on the overhead catenary system (LAA) between Bojong Gede and Citayam stations, currently being handled by staff,” the company announced previously on social media.

Despite the disruption, train services remained possible on a limited basis. KAI Commuter noted that westbound services from Bojong Gede to Citayam could still operate, whilst eastbound services from Citayam to Bojong Gede continued normally.

One passenger, Obet, reported that the station became crowded with commuters waiting for trains. “I arrived at Manggarai Station at 17:38 WIB. The station was already full of passengers,” Obet said.

He added that station staff announced delays to train services due to the overhead catenary system disruption on the Bojong Gede–Citayam line.
