KRL Bojong Gede–Citayam Line Returns to Normal After Disruption
Jakarta, Kompas.com – The KRL Bogor Commuter Line (red line) experienced disruptions on the afternoon of Wednesday, 11 March 2026, rendering the track section from Bojong Gede Station to Citayam Station impassable.
Leza Arlan, KAI Commuter’s Public Relations Manager, reported that delays resulted from an operational failure involving overhead electrical cables (LAA – Listrik Aliran Atas) breaking at approximately 15:59 WIB.
“The operational failure made the track from Bojong Gede Station to Citayam Station unusable. Currently, KRL Bogor services can only use a single track operating alternately on this line,” Leza explained in an official statement.
KAI Commuter implemented adjusted operating procedures for Bogor–Jakarta services in both directions. By 18:10 WIB, eight Jakarta–Bogor/Nambo Commuter Line services were terminating at Depok and returning to Jakarta Kota Station.
Leza added that relevant technicians were already on site conducting repairs.
“The estimated repair time is approximately 60 minutes from 17:30 WIB,” Leza stated.
“Passenger evacuation is proceeding in accordance with established evacuation procedures, prioritising passenger safety and following staff instructions,” Leza added.
Leza advised KAI Commuter passengers to prioritise safety and follow staff instructions at stations. For operational updates, passengers can access the Commuter Line social media accounts at @commuterline.
