KRL and Argo Bromo Anggrek Train Accident in East Bekasi, Green SM Indonesia Issues Statement
A train accident involving the Argo Bromo Anggrek and KRL Commuter Line on the Bekasi-Jakarta route took place at Bekasi Timur Station in Bekasi City on Monday evening (27/4/2026). One of the Commuter Line passengers, Munir, recounted that the incident began when the KRL heading from Jakarta to Cikarang, which he was on, stopped at Bekasi Timur Station. The train had halted because a Commuter Line from Cikarang to Bekasi had collided with a taxi. “Basically, it was hit from the rear; the long-distance train’s driver’s carriage penetrated the carriage,” said Munir at the scene on Monday (27/4/2026). As a result of the Argo Bromo train colliding with the KRL, the women’s carriage of the Commuter Line was severely damaged. Through its official Instagram account @id.greensm, the company acknowledged that safety and comfort are paramount in every journey. Green SM emphasised its commitment to continuously improving service quality and supporting efforts to strengthen the safety system to provide a better transportation experience in the future. “We will continue to provide the latest updates as verified information becomes available,” it stated.
