Kristo Confirms Three TTU DPRD Members Accused of Intimidating Dr Icha Remain Active

The chairman of the Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Kristoforus Efi, has confirmed that three TTU DPRD members—Therezius Lazakar (Golkar), Robert Tubani (PKB), and Veronika Lake (PDIP)—remain active legislators. The three DPRD members are suspected of intimidating doctor Eliza Princila Utami Pakaenoni, known as Icha, to the point that she took her own life. “As of now, they are still active members of the DPRD. As long as they have not been dismissed, their rights as DPRD members according to the provisions are still obtained,” said Kristo following an examination at the NTT Regional Police Headquarters on Thursday (16/7/2026). Kristo explained that his office has yet to receive a written notice of suspension from the leadership of the Golkar, PKB, or PDIP parties. According to him, information regarding the suspension has so far only circulated in the media, while official documents have not been submitted to the TTU DPRD leadership. Kristo stated that the DPRD’s Ethics Council (BK) is still processing the alleged violation. He noted that there are nine stages that must be completed before the results are handed over to the DPRD leadership for follow-up. “Five stages are complete, leaving four more stages. Hopefully, everything will be finished next week. It will then be handed over to me to convene a plenary session, announce it, and establish it as a DPRD decision,” Kristo explained.
