Kremlin: Starmer Always Supported Fundamental Russia-UK Relations

Moscow (ANTARA) - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who has announced his resignation as party leader, has always supported the fundamental maintenance of relations between the United Kingdom and Russia, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday. “Keir Starmer has not particularly proven himself in terms of Russia-UK relations. He has always been a supporter of maintaining these relations at a basic level,” Peskov told reporters. Peskov added that it is unlikely there are any political figures in Britain who hold a different view regarding dialogue with Russia. Starmer announced his resignation as leader of the Labour Party in London on Monday. In a statement outside his office at 10 Downing Street, London, Starmer said he had informed King Charles III of his resignation on Monday morning, local time.
