Kremlin Says Russia Will Have No Difficulty Exporting Diesel
Moscow (ANTARA) – Russia will have no difficulty exporting diesel amid strong global demand for petroleum products, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti on Sunday (11 October), Xinhua reported.
“Demand is enormous. Large quantities of oil and petroleum products are no longer available on the market … So there is no problem with demand in the market. If only there were enough supply,” Peskov said.
Asked whether Russia had received requests for fuel supplies, Peskov said this was unnecessary because distribution was handled through traders.
On Friday (9 October), Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump and announced an agreement under which Russia would supply diesel to the United States and global markets.
On Saturday (10 October), the Russian government partially lifted restrictions on diesel exports that had been in force since early 2026.
