Kremlin: Russia-US diesel cooperation serves mutual interests

Moscow (ANTARA) – The Russian government has said that cooperation with the United States on diesel supplies serves the interests of the US, the global energy market and Russia.

“Indeed, it has become an important element of cooperation between Russia and the US. The effort serves the interests of the US, the global energy market and Russia, and it has therefore been able to take place,” Russian government spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.

The Kremlin stressed that the decision on diesel cooperation between Russia and the US was unrelated to Russia’s position on the Ukraine issue, Peskov said.

During the conversation, Trump said an agreement on supplies of diesel from Russia had been reached.

The US greatly appreciates Russian diesel supplies because it needs them, Trump said.
