Kremlin hopes Putin's visit to China will strengthen strategic ties
Moscow (ANTARA) - The Kremlin has stated that it holds great expectations for President Vladimir Putin’s upcoming official visit to China, including the strengthening of strategic relations and economic cooperation between the two nations. Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Putin is currently preparing for the visit alongside a delegation consisting of deputy prime ministers, ministers, and leaders of Russian companies. “I can say that we have very serious expectations,” Peskov told reporters on Monday. According to Peskov, all economic issues within the agenda of Russia-China relations will be discussed during the visit. He added that every meeting between Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping consistently provides new momentum for the expansion of bilateral relations between the two countries. “We are developing an independent and highly diverse relationship with China, which we refer to as a special and enhanced strategic partnership,” said Peskov. Peskov further noted that Russia-China relations are currently expanding extensively across various fields of cooperation.
