Kramat Jati Wholesale Market Traders Participate in Mass Credit Agreement with Bank Jakarta
Bank Jakarta’s credit distribution to traders at the Kramat Jati Wholesale Market has reached approximately Rp48 billion, covering 167 traders. This financing holds potential for further expansion, given that the market contains more than 5,000 business premises.
Agus H. Widodo, President Director of Bank Jakarta, stated that expanding financing is one of the company’s efforts to improve financial access for micro-business actors.
“We do not want traders to be busy searching for banks. Bank Jakarta must become closer and present amongst the traders,” said Agus during the Mass Credit Agreement for 100 traders at the Kramat Jati Wholesale Market, Jakarta, on Tuesday (1/9/2026).
According to Agus, the financing provided to traders is not solely intended to increase credit distribution. Bank Jakarta also aims to ensure that the financing can drive the development of customers’ businesses.
“For Bank Jakarta, success is not measured by how much credit we distribute. True success is when this financing enables traders’ businesses to grow, turnover to increase, jobs to be created, and more Jakarta MSMEs to move up the value chain,” he added.
To expand the reach of micro-financing, Bank Jakarta currently operates 243 Micro Centres distributed throughout the DKI Jakarta region.
The mass credit agreement was witnessed by the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno, alongside officials from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Perumda Pasar Jaya, and other relevant stakeholders.
This synergy is directed towards strengthening access to financing and the development of micro-businesses within Jakarta’s traditional markets.
