Kramat Jati Lokbin Access Road Resurfaced, Traders Urged to Stop Selling on Roadside
The Jakarta Highways Agency (Dinas Bina Marga DKI Jakarta) has resurfaced the entrance and courtyard of the Kramat Jati Lokasi Binaan (Lokbin) in East Jakarta. The improvement is intended to make access to the facility more comfortable while supporting the reorganisation of the Jalan Raya Bogor area.
The resurfacing was carried out by the East Jakarta Highways Sub-agency on 27–28 August 2026.
According to an Instagram post by the Jakarta Highways Agency on Monday (31/8/2026), the work forms part of support for the reorganisation of the Jalan Raya Bogor area in Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta.
“Resurfacing of the entrance and courtyard of Kramat Jati Lokbin. Supporting the reorganisation of Jalan Raya Bogor,” the post stated.
With more comfortable access and facilities, traders are expected to conduct their buying and selling activities within the Lokbin area. This is intended to reduce roadside trading.
“Traders are expected to operate and sell inside the Lokbin so that they are no longer on the roadside,” the agency wrote.
The improvements are also expected to improve traffic flow on Jalan Raya Bogor in Kramat Jati. A reduction in roadside trading is considered likely to minimise the potential for congestion.
In addition, better road conditions around the Lokbin are expected to make the environment more comfortable for both traders and passing members of the public.
“With traders selling inside the Lokbin, roadside trading can be reduced. This is expected to minimise the potential for congestion on Jalan Raya Bogor in Kramat Jati, while also reducing the potential for the road to become slippery,” the agency wrote.
The Jakarta Highways Agency emphasised that the improvements are expected to make trading activity more orderly and to improve traffic flow on Jalan Raya Bogor in the Kramat Jati area.
