Krakatau Steel Group's Ramadan Symphony Programme Aids Communities Ahead of Eid al-Fitr
PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk/Krakatau Steel Group (KRAS) has distributed 1,800 food assistance packages to communities across 18 villages in Cilegon, Banten. This distribution forms part of the Krakatau Steel Group’s 2026 Ramadan Symphony programme series.
The symbolic handover of the food assistance packages was carried out by Suryantoro Waluyo, Director of Human Resources at PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk, to representatives of the beneficiary communities.
Suryantoro stated that this activity demonstrates Krakatau Steel Group’s commitment to sharing joy with the community ahead of Eid al-Fitr. “I hope this assistance can provide benefit and help the community in welcoming Eid al-Fitr with full happiness. Through the Ramadan Symphony programme, we continue to foster the spirit of sharing and strengthen togetherness with the community,” said Suryantoro on Sunday, 15 March 2026.
On the same occasion, Krakatau Steel Group also launched its 2026 Free Homecoming Programme. A total of 250 participants were dispatched using six buses to various cities across four provinces on the island of Java.
The journey routes include Tasikmalaya, Purwokerto, Wonosobo, Solo, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya. This programme is the result of synergy between the state-owned enterprise and Cilegon municipal government to assist communities in celebrating Eid al-Fitr with their families in their hometowns safely and comfortably.
Cilegon municipal government, through a written statement from Mayor Robinsar, expressed strong appreciation for the Krakatau Steel Group’s Ramadan Symphony series, which includes scholarships for Cilegon students, orphan and poor assistance, and support for persons with disabilities.
Additionally, free homecoming assistance and 1,800 food assistance packages for Cilegon residents demonstrate the company’s genuine commitment to supporting both government and society.
Panca N Widodo, Special Staff to the Mayor for Government and Legal Affairs at Cilegon municipal government, who read the mayor’s statement, appreciated Krakatau Steel Group’s consistency in delivering various social programmes for the community. “This programme shows that Krakatau Steel is present not only as a national industrial force, but also as a social partner for Cilegon society. Synergy between industry and local government becomes the key to delivering real benefits for the community,” he said.
