Palembang (ANTARA) – The Palembang Office for Nutrition Fulfillment Services (KPPG Palembang) has conducted an evaluation of the compliance of Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in processing the Sertifikat Laik Higiene Sanitasi (SLHS) to ensure that food hygiene and safety standards are met.

Head of KPPG Palembang, Nurya Hartika Sari, in Palembang, on Wednesday, said that every SPPG that has commenced operations is required to possess an SLHS no later than one month after the kitchen begins operating.

She said the evaluation is conducted to ensure that all partner organisations implementing the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG) comply with the applicable provisions.

‘If within the specified time limit this obligation is not fulfilled, KPPG will propose a temporary cessation of operations,’ she said.

Earlier, the Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sony Sanjaya, stressed that every SPPG deemed operational must register the SLHS acquisition process with the Health Department no later than 30 working days.

Of the total 708 SPPG in South Sumatra, 400 units already hold SLHS, while 308 are still in the process of being processed or have not yet obtained the certificate.
