KPPG opens special complaint service for MBG programme in Riau, West Sumatra, and Riau Islands
Tanjungpinang - The Food and Nutrition Service Office (KPPG) for the regions of Riau, West Sumatra (Sumbar), and Riau Islands (Kepri) has opened a special complaint channel for the free nutritious meal (MBG) programme covering these three provinces. Head of KPPG Riau, Sumbar, and Kepri, Syartiwidya, stated that the complaint service can be accessed through the website https://s.id/PengaduanMBG_KPPG Pekanbaru. “The public can also directly access the central BGN complaint service by calling 127,” said Syartiwidya when contacted from Tanjungpinang City, Kepri, on Wednesday. She mentioned that the MBG complaint service covers various aspects, including the condition of infrastructure or buildings of MBG providers. Then, the quality and variety of food menus, followed by the performance and compliance of suppliers, as well as other forms of complaints if the MBG programme is not running as it should. “For example, if substandard food or fruits are found, please report it. We will immediately follow up on the report,” she said. Syartiwidya explained that the MBG complaint channel was opened to ensure the MBG programme runs well, transparently, and in accordance with standards. “If there are findings or problems with MBG, it is best to report directly through the official channel. Not on social media, because we will have difficulty following up on the report,” she said. Syartiwidya also guaranteed the confidentiality of the identity or data of reporters submitting complaints regarding the implementation of the MBG programme, so that reporters still feel safe and comfortable. She emphasised that every incoming report will be followed up and further investigated in the field to ensure its truthfulness. “Public participation/voices are very important to ensure that every MBG beneficiary receives decent, nutritious, and safe food. So, let’s together safeguard this Asta Cita programme,” she affirmed.
