KPK Wealth Report Records Silmy Karim's Assets in South Jakarta

According to the 2025 State Officials’ Wealth Report (LHKPN) from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the inactive Deputy Minister of Immigration and Correctional Services, Silmy Karim, is recorded as owning several assets consisting of land and buildings located in South Jakarta.

As cited from the KPK LHKPN website in Jakarta on Thursday, Silmy possesses at least eight assets in the form of land and buildings in South Jakarta, and three in East Jakarta. The total value of his land and building assets amounts to Rp184,024,640,000, while his assets in the form of transport equipment and machinery are valued at Rp8,475,000,000.

Regarding the land in East Jakarta, the plots range from 239 to 709 square metres, with the highest value recorded at Rp13,413,095,000 and the lowest at Rp1,707,977,000. For transport equipment and machinery, Silmy reported owning seven units, comprising five four-wheeled vehicles and two Harley Davidson motorcycles valued at Rp450 million each. His collection also includes a Mercedes Benz 280E valued at Rp500 million, a 2022 Mercedes G63 valued at Rp6 billion, a 1996 Jeep Wrangler valued at Rp450 million, and a 1988 Jeep CJ7 valued at Rp275 million.

The KPK LHKPN also notes that Silmy holds other movable assets worth Rp11,390,000,000, securities worth Rp8,695,320,000, and cash or cash equivalents worth Rp31,007,358,544, with a total overall value of Rp24,592,318,544. Silmy also carries debts amounting to Rp8,995,522,634. After deducting debts, his total net wealth stands at Rp234,596,795,910.

The KPK has revealed that Silmy received funds from extortion during his tenure as the Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights from January 2023 to October 2024. This case pertains to the period between 2022 and 2026. The alleged extortion case originated from the handling of an RPTKA (Foreign Worker Utilisation Plan) case within the Ministry of Manpower, which has been under investigation by the KPK since 2025.

“This closed investigation began as a follow-up to the case regarding the planned use of foreign workers in the Ministry of Manpower, which has been handled by KPK investigators since 2025,” stated the Chairman of the KPK, Setyo Budiyanto, at the KPK Red and White Building in Jakarta on Thursday.
