The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has urged the Regent of Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing), Suhardiman Amby, and the Regional Secretary of Kuansing, Zulkarnaen, to surrender after they disappeared during a sting operation (OTT) in Kuansing, Riau.

“We urge the Regent and Regional Secretary of Kuansing to be cooperative and surrender to the KPK so that the legal process can proceed effectively,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK building in Jakarta on Tuesday (30/6/2026).

Budi stated that the KPK team is still searching for the whereabouts of Regent Suhardiman and Secretary Zulkarnaen. The KPK arrested a total of 10 individuals during the sting operation, which was related to alleged bribery in the sale and purchase of positions within the Kuansing Regency Government.

Of the 10 people arrested, five have been brought to Jakarta for intensive examination at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building.
